COUNTY CLERK TO SPEAK AT HICKSVILLE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

(Mineola, NY) The Hicksville Chamber of Commerce will be welcoming guest speaker Nassau County Clerk Maureen O'Connell at their next luncheon meeting on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 12:30 p.m. Chamber President Lionel Chitty has invited the County Clerk to speak with members about the services provided by the Clerk's Office to Nassau County residents. County Clerk O'Connell will also provide important information about "Deed Scams" the Clerk's Office has seen affecting local neighborhoods, and the initiatives undertaken to assist and protect homeowners against these types of predatory scams. Another informative topic the Clerk will cover is the filing of business papers at the County Clerk's Office. She will also encourage Chamber Members to sign on to the County Clerk's Veterans Recognition Program. This program, started by Clerk O'Connell, offers discounts on goods and services at local businesses to Veterans when they record their discharge papers with the Clerk's Office.
