COUNTY CLERK ATTENDS RE-DEDICATION CEREMONY FOR POPS SABELLICO FIELD

(Mineola, NY)    Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell joined local officials and community members for the re-dedication ceremony of Pops Sabellico Field in Farmingdale. The park, on Merritts Road in Farmingdale, was first dedicated by the Town in 2001 to posthumously honor James “Pops” Sabellico, a lifetime resident of Farmingdale who was a highly regarded baseball coach by the children of the community.  Improvements to Pops Sabellico Field include new turf and a new scoreboard that little leaguers will enjoy for years to come.
