Tyler Wolf Named Junior Firefighter of the Year

(Mineola, NY)   The Mineola Junior Fire Department recently held their Annual Installation Dinner and Awards Ceremony to honor the officers and members of this fine organization for their dedicated service to the community.  Since 1976 the Mineola Junior Fire Department has given young men and women from the community the opportunity to learn about being a volunteer firefighter through training exercises, social activities and participation in actual emergency events.  Among the outstanding members, Tyler Wolf was named Junior Firefighter of the Year.  Tyler has said that what drew him to serve was interest in learning more about live firefighting and has found that “the advisors and his fellow members are great people”.  Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell joined the Junior’s in honoring Tyler for his great commitment to community service and present him with a County Citation in recognition of his achievements.  Pictured from left to right are the Junior’s Advisors Honorary Chief William Gresalfi and Ex-Chief Gary Mazur, County Clerk Maureen O’Connell, Junior Firefighter of the Year Tyler Wolf, his sister Madison, his parents Theresa and Jack, his brother Spencer, and Assemblyman Tom McKevitt.
