Mangano Announces Success Of Private-Sector Job Fair

More than 1,000 Turn Out to Event Hosted by Nassau County and Healthplex

County Executive Mangano joins Eileen Scaturro, Human Resources Manager for Healthplex

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced the success of a job fair co-sponsored by Nassau County and Healthplex, which drew more than 1,000 people looking for employment. Held on March 21st at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola, the job fair was open to anyone seeking full-time and part-time employment opportunities.

“The massive turnout at this most recent job fair is a great example of the good that can come from government and the private sector working together,” said County Executive Mangano. “My administration is committed to creating economic development opportunities wherever possible. Attracting new employers, supporting small business development and expanding our job base is essential to Nassau’s future.”

Healthplex, the leading dental insurance company located in Uniondale, interviewed candidates for all positions, both entry and management level, including Customer Service Representatives, Dental Consultants, Outreach Representatives, Computer Operators, Report Analysts, and administrative staff. Salaries range from $25,000 to $125,000.
