Mangano: SixGun To Perform Noontime Concert At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that SixGun will perform a noontime concert on Wednesday, July 18th at Eisenhower Park, adjacent to parking field 6A. Admission is free.

SixGun is the tri-state area’s premier Country/Rock band. Tight harmonies and hot leads have become their trademark as they provide audiences country music with a kick. An authentic blend that appeals to everyone, concertgoers will be delighted to cheer, stomp, and dance as they are entertained by SixGun’s high energy stage presence and dynamic sound. It is suggested that spectators bring chairs or blankets to more thoroughly enjoy the concert as very limited seating is available at the venue.

This programming at the Lakeside Theatre is made possible through the Nassau County Hotel/Motel Proceeds Grant, which are proceeds from taxes on hotel and motel rooms in Nassau County. Since 2006, Nassau County has received more than ten million dollars from the Hotel/Motel Proceeds Grant, which also has assisted in historic building restoration and other cultural enhancements.

Eisenhower Park is centrally located in East Meadow, with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick Avenues. As one of the largest public spaces in the New York metropolitan area, Eisenhower Park offers a full range of athletic and family activities, including one of the finest swimming facilities in the U.S., three world-class golf courses, dozens of athletic fields and courts, picnic areas, playgrounds, fitness trails and more.
