Mangano: Quickdraw To Perform Noontime Concert At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced today that Quickdraw will perform a noontime concert on Wednesday, August 8th at Eisenhower Park, adjacent to parking field 6A. The concert is free.

Most recently performing as Eddie Money’s backing band, Quickdraw is a southern jam/ rock band that has experienced its fair share of success. Their music has been featured on television networks including CMT, MTV, FOX, TNT, USA, and Discover and was even performed on ABC’s Good Morning America live. Quickdraw is sure to have the audience entertained. They have been compared to Lynyrd Skynyrd on their southern rock side and to The Eagles, Poco and The Band on their country rock side. Add in a dose of the blues with their 3 guitar attack and Quickdraw is sure to showcase its ability to be a jam band that excites and amuses. It’s recommended to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the show, as there is limited seating at the venue.

This programming at the Lakeside Theatre is made possible through the Nassau County Hotel/Motel Proceeds Grant, which are proceeds from taxes on hotel and motel rooms in Nassau County. Since 2006, Nassau County has received more than ten million dollars from the Hotel/Motel Proceeds Grant, which also has assisted in historic building restoration and other cultural enhancements.

Eisenhower Park is centrally located in East Meadow, with entrances on Hempstead Turnpike at East Meadow Avenue and at the intersection of Stewart and Merrick Avenues.
