Mangano Announces Creole Family Day Concert

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano, Kompa Guide, and Haitian-Americans United for Progress (HAUP)announced today that the Creole Family Day Concert will be held at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park on Friday, August 3, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

The Creole Family Day Concert is a free, family-oriented event that will feature live music, food, a Caribbean Tourist Expo, and a Health and Wellness pavilion. The West Indian American Kite Association will also display kites representing the flags of the different Caribbean countries. This year’s musical lineup includes legendaryKompa band Tabou Combo, new generation sensation T-Micky, roots band Tokay, Bigga Haitian, E-Uneek, Dominica Creole Dancers, and more.

“Nassau County’s Caribbean festivals have been attended by thousands of residents who come to celebrate the many cultures of the Caribbean, and I once again invite everyone to Eisenhower Park for this great event,” said County Executive Mangano.
