Mangano Welcomes Mystic For Final Free Summer Concert Under The Stars At Wantagh Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today reminded residents that Mystic will perform the final Summer Concert Under the Stars at Wantagh Park on Thursday, August 16th. Wantagh Park is located at 1 King Road in Wantagh, just south of Merrick Road. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Mystic members: Sam Bello, Steven Bello, Lynn Critelli, George Panos, Don McCabe, Dennis DelGaudio, Steve Engle, Kevin Doolittle have been performing together for over 20 years, building a fan base like no other. Performing 6 nights a week throughout the summer and every weekend throughout the year has helped the members of Mystic build chemistry and character that compares to no one. From your favorite classic rock hits, to 70’s rock and disco, the 80’s, 90’s, hits of today, as well as oldies, standards, and dance, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! With 5 lead vocalists, it’s no wonder they can capture the vocals of every artist they cover!

Consisting of 111 acres, Wantagh Park provides a waterfront location and numerous opportunities for recreation, along with seating areas that allow visitors to relax and enjoy the magnificent view. Residents can enjoy tennis courts, softball fields, a basketball court, a baseball field, a playground, a fishing pier, boat slips, a dog run, bocci and horseshoe courts and a game area for chess and checkers, a senior citizen gazebo and reserved picnic areas with barbeque equipment. There is also 1-mile and 2-mile walking paths that can also be used for bicycle riding and jogging. Additionally, families can enjoy an Olympic-sized main pool, a diving pool, a “kiddie” pool, training pool, an interactive water-play area and two waterslides (30 foot). The pool complex includes various conveniences, including lockers, showers, a concession stand, and lounge and deck chairs.
