Mangano To Host Model Train Show At Mitchel Athletic Complex

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Trainville Hobby Depot will host a Model Train Show on Saturday, September 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday, September 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Butler Building at the Mitchel Athletic Complex in Uniondale.

This year’s Model Train Show includes door prizes, refreshments, Trainville Hobby Depot Exclusive Vendor and an information table for other Model Train and Hobby Events.

Exhibitors and Train Clubs invited to attend include: Trainville Hobby Depot’s N Scale Layout, Long Island Hottrack, Long Island Traction O Gauge Trolleys, Great South Bay Club O Gauge Layout, Trainmasters of Babylon O Gauge Club, Long Island N Trak, N-Scale T-Trak, MTA LIRR Police and many more.

Admission to the Train Show is $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 2-12 years of age, seniors and veterans and free for children under 5 years of age.

About Mitchel Athletic Complex

Mitchel Athletic Complex, a 49-acre complex centrally located in the “Hub” area just west of Nassau Coliseum and opposite the Long Island Children's and Aviation museums, hosts a variety of local high school and collegiate athletic events, as well as local sports leagues. The facility includes a track and field stadium (nine lanes) with an oval containing a new synthetic field suitable for football, soccer and lacrosse. Additionally there are four fields available for softball and two for baseball. These fields can also be used for soccer, football or lacrosse. The public may use the track during times when no events are scheduled.
