Mangano Activates Non-Emergency Hotline

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning for our area with significant snowfall expected over the next 24 hours. Accordingly, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano activated the County’s Non-Emergency Hotline which will remain open throughout the duration of the storm. Residents with non-life threatening emergencies can continue to call 888-684-4274 for assistance. All those with life threatening emergencies should call 911.

The County’s Department of Public Works crews were mobilized as of 3:00 a.m. and our Police Officers stand at the ready to assist those residents in need of assistance.

“Residents are urged to use caution. Our County workforce will be working hard to keep the streets safe, and you can help by keeping cars off the road,” said County Executive Mangano. “Please review your sheltering plan and locate your battery operated radios in advance should you lose power.”

The Nassau County Non-Emergency Hotline is 1-888-684-4274. The number will be in operation throughout the duration of the storm. All emergencies should be reported to 911.
