Legislator Abrahams Invites Residents to Mortgage Event

Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Freeport) would like to notify residents of his district of an upcoming mortgage event hosted by Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) at Suffolk Community College (Crooked Hill Road,Brentwood) that will be held from Aug. 15 to Aug. 19, 2012.

Homeowners with unaffordable mortgages, or homebuyers wanting to purchase a home with the best possible mortgage, are encouraged to attend the “American Dream Event,” where qualified specialists will provide free services and advice to those seeking a better rate. Homeowners will have the chance to meet face-to-face with their servicers and get a solution on the same day.

The following services and investors have legally binding agreements with NACA that attend their events: Bank of America, Wilshire (loans are serviced by Bank of America), CitiMortgage, Wells Fargo, ASC (America Servicing Co. owned by Wells Fargo), Litton Loans, GMAC, Indy Mac/One West, Ocwen, Chase/EMC/Washington Mutual, HMSI (American Home Mortgage Servicing Inc.), Saxon (Some Amtrust loans are with Saxon) and Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac (who will speak to borrowers whose loan is owned by them but their lender is not present).

NACA is the largest HUD certified nonprofit housing organization in the nation with a track record of stabilizing neighborhoods by helping homeowners negotiate and modify their unaffordable mortgages.
