Legislator Nicolello Hosts Property Assessment Grievance Workshop

Legislator Rich Nicolello recently hosted a workshop at the Hillside Public Library in New Hyde Park with featured a presentation by Helen McQueen from the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission to directly answer residents’ questions and walk them through the property assessment grievance application process. More than 100 people attended the workshop. Legislator Nicolello stated: “Nassau residents pay the highest real property taxes in the nation. It is important for homeowners to know all of their options when deciding whether to challenge their assessment. The workshop provided a successful model of making government more accessible to the people.”
