ROTARY OF WILLISTON PARK HONORS

OUTGOING PRESIDENT DR. MORRIS CHIMON

The Rotary Club of Williston Park recently honored its outgoing President, Dr. Morris Chimon at the Rotary’s 2010 Installation Dinner. Dr. Chimon was honored for his dedicated service to the principles and goals of Rotary and the communities of Williston Park and East Williston.

Dr. Morris Chimon, a local dentist, has served as President of the Rotary for over 4 years. Under his leadership, Dr. Morris and the Rotary worked to raise funds and donate time and service to numerous local and international organizations. During his tenure, Dr. Morris and the Rotary Club of Williston Park have supported the Sunwise Melanoma Awareness Project, Winthrop University Hospital Cancer Center for Kid’s, the Williston Park & East Williston Libraries and Volunteer Fire Departments, the Gift of Life, Polio Plus, the East Williston September 11th Memorial, the Rotary Wheelchair Foundation, as well as several local churches & food pantries.

The Rotary’s philosophy is “Service Above Self” and with Dr. Morris Chimon serving as Club President, the Rotary Club of Williston Park certainly continued its mission.

The Rotary Club of Williston Park has been serving the community for over 50 years and meet every Wednesday at 8AM at the IHOP restaurant at 890 Hillside Avenue, Williston Park, NY 11596.
