LEGISLATOR GONSALVES & THE NCPD 1st PRECINCT
SPONSORS 2006 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT

The “23rd Annual National Night Out” (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event is scheduled to take place nationwide on Tuesday, August 1, 2006.

Legislator Norma Gonsalves (R-East Meadow, LD13) and Nassau County Police Commissioner James H. Lawrence will sponsor a program featuring the Nassau County Police Department Explorers who will assist in fingerprinting and the distribution of Child ID Kits, “Child Safety”, and Information on Megan’s Law on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, 7:00 p.m., Town Square, Veteran’s Memorial Park, East Meadow Avenue and Prospect Avenue, East Meadow. Educational literature on Child Safety, Personal and Property Safety, Internet Safety and Drug Prevention will be available. The First Precinct POP unit will also be on hand to answers questions on public safety. A question and answer period will follow, concluding with a candle lighting ceremony.

Rain or Shine. Light refreshments will be served. Balloon animals, Magic Entertainment by “Scott the Great” and ices, popcorn and cotton candy will be on hand for the kids (and adults) to enjoy.
