Jacobs Says Road Resurfacing Projects Are Underway

Mineola, NY - Nassau County Presiding Officer Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) announced that essential resurfacing roadwork in the village of Oyster Bay and neighboring roads throughout Nassau County will commence in the near future.

"Weathered and damaged roads lead to disastrous, if not fatal, accidents which is why it is important that we always continue to strive to repair roads and make them as safe as possible," said Legislator Jacobs. "Keeping the County's infrastructure is an essential part of keeping Nassau moving forward."

Mill River Road in the Village of Oyster Bay is one of the roads slated to receive resurfacing under the Nassau County 2004 road-resurfacing project. The project consists of the removal and replacement of deteriorated pavement and restriping of 1.42 miles of roadway from Lexington Avenue to Glen Cove Oyster Bay Road.
