LEGISLATOR FORD ATTENDS “HALLOWEEN IN JULY” CELEBRATION

On Wednesday July 31, Malibu Beach Summer Camp hosted its own “Halloween in July” to celebrate a holiday that for many campers had been ruined by Super Storm Sandy.  Over three hundred trick-or-treaters paraded around the beach club in creative costumes, collecting candy from the cabanas and life guard stands.

The event was organized by Camp Malibu owner Butch Yamali and attended by Nassau County Legislator Denise Ford.

Legislator Ford explained, “Our recovery is not over; there are many families who continue to struggle today in the aftermath of the storm. I would like to thank Butch Yamali for hosting such a wonderful event to help these children in their recovery after Sandy. The costumes and the spirit of the children say it all. We can move forward.”
