Nassau County's Fitness Trails

Nassau County provides several fitness trails that offer residents the opportunity to walk or jog along marked one- or two-mile trails that incorporate 20 attractive and simple fitness stations. The stations offer a variety of exercises of increasing difficulty from simple stretching to pull-ups and sit-ups and balance walking.

Currently, the fitness trails are located at three County parks:

North Shore: Christopher Morley Park

The one-mile fitness trail begins on the north side of the park entrance by Searington Road, heads east past the Dog Run and the woods before working its way past the baseball fields and playground and ending by the parking area overlooking the pond.

Central Nassau: Eisenhower Park

The two-mile fitness trail is located on the west side of Park Boulevard bisecting the park, with the first station located near the field house and playground by Parking Field No. 2 (near Hempstead Turnpike). From there, the trail winds north past the Aquatic Center and Lakeside Theatre and then heads south back toward the starting point.

South Shore: Wantagh Park

The two-mile fitness trail begins by the entrance to the park and winds around the park before ending near the marina.
