June 16, 2004 Abrahams: 'Stop Smoking Now'
Nassau County Offers Free Tobacco Cessation Program Nassau County Deputy Presiding Officer Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) joins with the Nassau County Department of Health in announcing a no-cost tobacco cessation program, "Be Empowered Against Tobacco (BEAT)", available to all Nassau County residents. This comprehensive program consists of five, one-hour sessions that are held once per week. "There's no time like right now to kick this dangerous habit," said Abrahams.
