14, 2004 Jacobs : Students, spend your summer earning
and learning
Nassau County offers full time position in various departments Mineola, NY – Presiding Officer Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) and the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights Job Development Center recently announced that there are many employment options available to students interested in learning how Nassau County government works. “This summer we are asking all students between the ages of 17 – 21, who are interested in learning about government, to come on down and apply for an important summer position,” said Legislator Jacobs. “It’s a great opportunity for students to learn how various government departments and agencies function and the impact they have on residents.” The summer aide program provides full time employment for continuing students in various agencies throughout Nassau County government. High school and college teens are required to apply with a resume and must satisfy all basic eligibility requirements. Eligibility Requirements include:
