Jacobs reminds low-income seniors to request farmers market coupons
Farmers Market Nutrition Program runs until November 15th

Mineola, NY –Presiding Officer Judy Jacobs (D-Woodbury) wants to remind residents that the New York State Farmers Market Nutrition Program is currently operating in Nassau County and will continue until November 15, 2004. “A variety of fresh fruits, vegetable and herbs will be available to all low income seniors at any of the farmers markets throughout Nassau County, said Legislator Jacobs. “Eating nutritional and well-balanced meals plays an important role in continuing to live a healthy and active lifestyle, which is why seniors should take advantage of this program right away.”
