Abrahams Joins Surprise for Principal Linda Friedman

On May 18, 2010, Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) visited Uniondale’s Walnut School for a special surprise event. During an assembly gathering, the students celebrated the fact their principal, Linda Friedman, received the "Administrative Leadership Award" from the Academy for Character Education for her work in promoting Character Education at Walnut Street School and throughout the Uniondale schools and community. Ms. Friedman had accepted the award at the Champions of Character Banquet in Albany. Legislator Abrahams congratulated Ms. Friedman on receiving this prestigious recognition.
