Nassau County Bar Assoc. to Host Free Mortgage Foreclosure Clinic

(MINEOLA, NY) – Nassau County Legislator Kevan Abrahams, D-Freeport, would like to notify residents of an upcoming mortgage foreclosure program on Monday, Aug. 13, from 3-6 p.m. that is free for Nassau County homeowners.

The Nassau County Bar Association is offering free consultations to help residents with any questions they may have about foreclosure. Come in for a one-on-one meeting with a volunteer Nassau County Bar Association attorney for advice and guidance.

Specialists available to answer your questions include: housing counselors from Nassau County Homeownership Center, Community Development Corp. of Long Island and La Fuerza Unida; representatives from Nassau/Suffolk Law Services; and a Bankruptcy attorney. Those who are interested should bring mortgage documents to their consultation.

Bi-lingual attorneys who speak Spanish, Haitian, Creole, Russian, Polish, Greek, Mandarin, Korean, Hindi, Urdu, Farsi and other languages are also available, and can be requested when calling to register.
