Toys for Tots Collection Underway

Legislator Kevan Abrahams (D-Hempstead) is pictured with US Marine Corps Reserve Gunnery Sgt. Alexander Mesa in the lobby of the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building, Mineola during the annual Marine Corps Toys for Tots campaign. The mission of this nationwide program is to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute the toys as gifts to needy children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. The collection and distribution of toys is in communities with a Marine Corps Reserve Unit or in communities with a Marine Corps League Detachment. To donate a new, unwrapped toy please check with your local fire department or in your local newspaper for collection sites.
