MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONIES HONORS AMERICA’S HEROES

Memorial Day 2011 was marked by ceremonies in New Hyde Park and Garden City Park. As always, the ceremonies were dedicated to those who died in the armed forces in defense of America as well as our veterans and troops serving our great country. The Village of New Hyde Park, American Legion Post 1089, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8031 jointly hosted their annual parade and ceremony. Garden City Park’s Parade and ceremony was hosted by VFW Post 120.
