LEGISLATOR GONSALVES SUPPORTS

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT

Legislator Norma L. Gonsalves recently joined Boy Scout Andrew Shikora, Troop #362 of East Meadow, at his Eagle Scout planting project. Andrew planted wildlife seeding packets which he received from the Department of Environmental Conservation at McVey and Meadowbrook Elementary schools in East Meadow. The packets are intended to attract birds for feeding and nesting and other wildlife. At McVey Elementary school, Andrew also replaced slate stones used to create a planter with red decorative bricks to help beautify the area surrounding the school.
