Legislator Jacobs Presents the 2014 Community Service Award to Graduating Jericho High School Senior

Legislator Judy Jacobs, (D-Woodbury) presented the 2014 Community Service Award to graduating Jericho High School senior, Marc Siegel on Monday, June 16th at the Senior Awards Night. Marc is an outstanding student taking on a very rigorous program including many AP courses. He is a member of the French and National Honor Society and an AP scholar.

His many community activities include volunteering and tutoring at the Boys and Girls Club of Hicksville. He volunteered for Hurricane Sandy Relief helping members of the Jericho Fire Department organize food and clothing.

Marc’s school counselor said he is a “principled young man who is mature, forward-looking, conscientious, determined, altruistic and goal oriented.” “These are the reasons these individuals are given these prestigious honors,” said Jacobs.
