Legislator Jacobs Attends Federation of Organizations Luncheon

Nassau County Legislator Judy Jacobs(D-Woodbury) attended the luncheon of the Federation of Organizations. Honored at the event, held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Friday, June 3rd, were the Nassau County RSVP volunteers (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program), and the Suffolk County Foster Grandparent and Senior Companion volunteers. The mission of this organization is to assist individuals and families to meet their own needs within their communities through self help, provision of quality services, advocacy and development of resources. They believe that they can help individuals and communities flourish by helping people help themselves to become productive participants in community life. Jacobs said, “the need is so great right now, especially with all the cutbacks in budgets on the Federal, State, and County levels. It was a pleasure to know that this group exists and provides so much.”
