HURRICANE SEASON IS HERE!
Hurricane season runs from June 1st through November 30th.
Please do all that you can to prepare your household for the impact of a hurricane.
During the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy, County Executive Mangano and I were pleased to set up a shelter at Hicksville High School, various warming centers through the county, a pet shelter for animals, family assistance centers available to help people fill out the paperwork for Sandy-related Damage, and a 24-hour emergency telephone hotline at the Office of Emergency Management.
