Mangano Announces Private Sector Job Opportunities For Veterans And The Public

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that GEICO Insurance Company will sponsor two job Open House Job Interview events, including one for Veterans only, to fill 60 job openings for the following positions: Claims Service Rep, Liability Claims Rep, Customer Service Rep, Sales Agent and Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee. Job benefits for these positions include profit-sharing/401(k) plans, medical, dental, vision and life insurance, paid vacation and holidays, membership in the GEICO Federal Credit Union and an 8% discount on auto insurance.

“This is a special opportunity for Nassau residents in the job market to apply for these positions, and we are especially grateful to GEICO for arranging a special interview day for those men and women who served our nation in the armed forces” said County Executive Mangano.

GEICO will host a Job Day for Veterans only on December 9th and the second for the general public on December 12th. GEICO expects to announce an additional 100 job openings next month. The requirements for available positions include a high school diploma or GED, except for the Liability Claims Rep which requires a college degree.
