County Clerk Warns Herricks Seniors About Deed Scam
(Mineola, NY) Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell recently joined meetings of the Herricks Leisure Club and the Herricks Senior Center to speak to their members about the services the Clerk’s office provides to residents, including the free recording of Veteran Certificate of Release and Discharge (DD-214).
Clerk O’Connell also warned them of deed solicitations that are continually being sent to area homeowners that offer to purchase deeds on their behalf for up to 1700% more than the Clerk’s Office fees and initiatives undertaken at the Clerk’s office to assist and protect residents.
