Henry Viscardi School Sends Care Packages to Troops
(Mineola, NY) When students and teachers at the Henry Viscardi School in Albertson found a supply of duffle bags not being used, they decided to fill them with items needed by troops serving overseas and turn them into care packages. The care packages are being sent to the soldiers with the help of the Levittown VFW Post 9592. The students who participated in this very special project have graduated and are part of RAMP “Reaching All My Potential” programs which teaches them skills so they may be more self sufficient. The students were presented with County Citations from Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell and Nassau Legislator Dennis Dunne in honor of this wonderful project.
