ATTENTION SENIORS: FREE FLU SHOTS

(Mineola, NY)  Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell is pleased to announce the Senior Citizen Flu Shot program which provides free flu shots to local seniors. This year’s program will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2013 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at American Legion Post No. 144, 730 Willis Avenue, Williston Park, New York. Appointments are necessary and can be made by calling (516) 571-6377.

This flu shot program is provided through the generous support of North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System.  County Clerk Maureen O’Connell is pleased to co-sponsor this event along with American Legion Post No. 144, the Chamber of Commerce of the Willistons and the Villages of Williston Park and East Williston.

Residents 60 and over are particularly vulnerable to complications arising from the flu virus and County Clerk O’Connell encourages all seniors from local communities to take advantage of this free program. Anyone interested in being vaccinated should be sure to schedule an appointment.
