COUNTY CLERK ATTENDS IRISH AMERICAN VETERANS STAND-DOWN

(Mineola, NY)  Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell attended the fourth annual Irish American Veterans Stand-Down at the Irish Society’s headquarters in Mineola.  The goal of the event is to inform all military veterans about government benefits that are available to them. The Stand-Down was a great success with Veterans from all branches of the military and from every era from World War II to Korea, Vietnam and the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan being represented.
