Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell was pleased to welcome a hard-working group of interns this past summer. Each year, interns assist in the administrative, land recording, court records, and receiving divisions of the County Clerk’s Office where these young men and women gain first hand experience while serving their community.
Working in the Clerk’s land recording division were: Diana Intrabartola, of Malverne, a Pace University student, Joseph Goodman, a student at Hofstra who lives in Williston Park, Lynbrook resident Jake Geiger, who attends SUNY Binghamton, and Theodore Bellas of Garden City, a student at SUNY Albany. Thomas Martis of Garden City, a student at Boston College, worked both in the Clerk’s land recording and administrative divisions.
Garden City residents Claire Colahan, a student at Duke University, and Elizabeth Slattery, a student at Georgetown University, worked in the Clerk’s division of court records. Katelin Foley, also of Garden City, a student at CUNY School of Law, worked in the licensing and receiving department.
Brian Lawing of Roosevelt, who attends CUNY John Jay College, worked in the Clerk’s imaging department.
Floral Park residents Christopher Eder, Steven Max and Ryan Smith all worked in the Clerk’s court records division. Christopher attends Queens College; Steven is a student at the Manhattan School of Music; and Ryan attends Nassau Community College.
The Clerk’s Office summer internship program offers area college students interested in government the opportunity to obtain valuable experience in many facets of public service. County Clerk O’Connell recently thanked the summer interns for their dedicated service and a job well done. Best of luck to each of them!
