Denis Murphy Earns Rank of Eagle Scout

            (Mineola, NY)   Boy Scout Troop # 577, which is sponsored by American Legion Post # 1749, recently held an Eagle Scout Court of Honor for Denis Francis Murphy.  The members, leaders and families of Troop # 577 along with area leaders honored this outstanding young man who has demonstrated great commitment to community service.  Denis’ dedication and many accomplishments earned him the Eagle Scout Award which is the highest rank in the Boy Scouts of America.  Pictured with Denis is Deputy County Clerk Seth Weiss representing Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell.  Congratulations to Denis and the entire Troop # 577 family for all their great works on behalf of the community.
