Rushmore Avenue School Celebrates Reading

            (Mineola, NY)  In celebration of National Library Week Rushmore Avenue School in Carle Place held “The Great New York Read Aloud Day” to learn about the joys of reading with their students.  Guest speakers were invited to join the students to read a book to the class and then talk about the story.  Having special visitors helps emphasize the importance of reading and encourages the students to share in the excitement that is discovered through books.

            Nassau County Clerk Maureen O’Connell was on hand to read to Ms. Musumeci’s fourth grade class.
