Mangano Announces Non-Emergency Hotline Success

Over 1,500 non-emergency calls received in 28 hours

With the departure of a blizzard that left as much as 20 inches of snow in some neighborhoods, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano thanked media outlets for helping inform residents of an established non-emergency hotline. Over the course of 28 hours, over 1,500 non-emergency calls were received by police personnel.

“Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of our residents is our top concern,” said Mangano. “Nassau's non-emergency hotline proved tremendously successful in aiding residents during the blizzard.”
