Mangano Announces Mother's Day Breast Cancer Hotline And Support Program In Nassau County

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has announced that Nassau County has joined with the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support program in their annual Mother’s Day campaign to encourage women to get mammograms.

“Mother’s Day is a significant time to remind women to get mammograms,” said County Executive Mangano. “I hope that this Mother’s Day women will take the time to make an appointment. Early detection is the best defense against breast cancer.”

To locate an accredited mammography facility nearby, call the Adelphi New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline and Support Program at 1-800-877-8077. Callers can also get emotional support from the hotline’s specially trained volunteers, more of whom are women who have had breast cancer. All services are free.
