Mangano Launches Nassau County News Network

In an effort to keep Nassau residents informed about county government, Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano today launched the Nassau News Network – the County’s own news service.  Reporting from the County seat, the Nassau County News Network will provide readers with a look at government from the inside out.

“By offering information free of charge and on the Internet we hope to provide residents with an inside look at their government,” Mangano said. “I invite all to visit the Nassau County News Network for current events happening throughout the county and for information on what my administration is doing to improve Nassau.”

Eden Laikin is the Network’s leading writer.  Laikin, an award-winning former Newsday reporter, spent the last three of her 22-years at the newspaper covering the Town of Hempstead’s government and its many diverse communities.  Today, Laikin serves as Director of Government Research for the County Executive.
