Mangano Announces Fall Exercise 'Boot Camp' At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that Eisenhower Park in East Meadow will be hosting an “Introductory Boot Camp” exercise program in October. The introductory “Boot Camp” is a total-body, military-style program that includes a variety of drills ranging from jumping jacks and running to push-ups, squats and crunches.
The program is part of County Executive Mangano’s “Fit Nassau” initiative, which is designed to encourage residents to pursue a more healthful lifestyle.
The four-class-long program will be offered over two weeks. The classes will be held on Tuesday, October 11th and 18th and on Thursday, October 13th and 20th from 7 P.M. to 8 P.M.
The fee for all four classes is $50 and $45 for all Nassau County Employees. Additionally, participants must have a Leisure Pass, which is available only to Nassau County residents for $25. A Leisure Pass, which is good for three years (lifetime for those 60 years of age and older), provides discounts to fee-based activities in the Nassau County Parks system and can be purchased at The Aquatic Center, Golf Office and Special Activities Center at Eisenhower Park.
Those interested in participating can sign up at the Nassau County Aquatic Center, in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow September 19th through October 7th. For more information, please call Katie DiPietro at (516) 572-0521.
