Hurricane Earl, Mangano Reschedule Tony Orlando Concert In Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano today announced that because of the impending arrival of inclement weather caused by Hurricane Earl, the Tony Orlando concert scheduled for this Friday, Sept. 3 at Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park has been rescheduled to Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010.

“My number one concern is the safety of our residents, and Mr. Orlando has very graciously agreed to postpone his performance for that reason,” said Mangano.  “We encourage all residents to stay indoors until the hurricane passes, then join us on September 8th for this much anticipated concert.”

The concert is free and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

The Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre is located near parking Fields 6 and 6A in Eisenhower Park.  Special accommodations are available for disabled patrons, including reserved parking, easily accessible restrooms, and a convenient reserved location on the hill.  Assistive hearing devices are available for the hearing impaired.
