Mangano: Three FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Now Open

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened three Disaster Recovery Centers for homeowners, renters, and business owners who sustained as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Specialists from the State of New York, FEMA, and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the types of assistance available to survivors.

“The recovery center is a one-stop-shop for eligible survivors where they can meet with both state and federal representatives in order to get help as quickly as possible,” said County Executive Mangano. “I encourage residents who think they may qualify for federal aid or would like additional information on what disaster assistance programs are available to stop by the mobile Disaster Recovery Center, call FEMA at 1-800-621-3362 or visit www.DisasterAssistance.gov to register.”
