Mangano Announces 2012 Long Island Liver Life Walk

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that the American Liver Foundation Long Island Liver Life Walk will take place on Saturday, May 12th at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. and the walk will begin at 10:00 a.m.

“I encourage all residents to come out and participate in the 2012 American Liver Foundation Long Island Liver Life Walk at Eisenhower Park,” said County Executive Mangano. “Together, we can save the lives of our family, friends and neighbors.”

Every year millions of Americans combat more than 100 different types of liver disease. On May 12th, those participating in the Long Island Liver Life Walk will be joining more than 15,000 people nationwide for the national fundraising event of the America Liver Foundation. The mission is to “move forward” towards a future free of liver disease and provide funding for medical research, public education and patient support services.
