Mangano: 9th Annual PGA Play Golf America And “Get Golf Ready Day” At Eisenhower Park

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announced that the 9th Annual PGA Play Golf America will take place on April 28th, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the driving range in Eisenhower Park. The 9th Annual PGA Play Golf America includes free mini-lessons from PGA Professionals, hands-on testing of the hottest products on the market today, and free golf balls. Also, the Pro Shop at Eisenhower will be offering specials.

Additionally, Nassau County in conjunction with BP Golf, The Met PGA, The First Tee of Nassau Countyand the United Athletes Foundation (UAF) will be hosting“Get Golf Ready Day” at Eisenhower Parkfrom 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The First Tee Training Area and on the Red Course Practice Green.

“Get Golf Ready Day” is a 3-hour clinic highlighting the different areas of the Get Golf Ready Program.

The program is designed to teach, five short lessons, everything you need to know to step onto a golf course and get out to play with confidence. Get Golf Ready will be guided by trained PGA and LPGA Professionals who will make sure you have fun each step of the way.

Eisenhower Park, the jewel of Nassau County’s park system provides over 930 acres which include a swimming pool and fitness center at the world-class Nassau County Aquatic Center; three 18-hole golf courses and a driving range; athletic fields; playgrounds; a 2-mile fitness trail; basketball and tennis courts; and summer entertainment at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre.
