Mangano And Winthrop-University Hospital Announce “Welcome Back Warriors” All-Veterans Jobs And Support Services Fair To Be Held On May 22nd

Will Assist a Large Number of Returning Veterans in Finding Employment Opportunities

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano announced the 2012 “Welcome Back Warriors” All-Veterans Jobs and Support Services Fair will be held on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Nassau Community College’s Physical Education Complex. Co-sponsored by Winthrop-University Hospital, the fair will feature dozens of companies with job opportunities along with experts who will help to improve job-hunting skills, the G.I. Bill and other services for returning veterans. Remarks will be made at 9:00 a.m. by County Executive Mangano; Joe Pascarella Acting Director of the Nassau County Veterans Service Agency; Dr. Donald Astrab President of Nassau Community College; John Collins, Winthrop-University Hospital CEO; and Kevin Dahill; President/CEO Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council.

“My administration is committed to creating economic development and private-sector job opportunities wherever possible. Attracting new employers, supporting small business development and helping businesses find qualified employees is essential to Nassau’s future,” said County Executive Mangano. “We must never forget the veterans who answered our nation’s call to duty and fought to defend our nation’s freedom. Our soldiers risked their lived to protect us from afar, and we need to protect them while at home.”
