Mangano Announces Family Fitness Day At The Nassau County Aquatic Center

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano has announced a Family Fitness Day will be held on Saturday, May 19th at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in Eisenhower Park. The event is free to all leisure pass holders.

The Family Fitness Day will provide residents with the chance to exercise in a fun, group setting and will give patrons the opportunity to participate in an array of classes. Each class will run from 45 minutes to an hour. The day starts off with a Zumba class at 9:00 a.m. Spinning will be offered at 10:15 a.m., Boot Camp at 11:15 a.m., and Tai Chi/Yoga will be at 12:30 p.m. Class space is limited and will be available on a first come first serve basis.

Built in 1998 for the International Goodwill Games, the Nassau County Aquatic Center is widely recognized as one of the finest swimming facilities in the U.S. Conveniently located in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, it regularly hosts major swimming and diving competitions, as well as local high school events and swim clubs. Additionally, the facility hosts thousands of Nassau County residents of all ages, who make the pool and Health Club part of their regular exercise regimen.
