Mangano Invites Local Inventors & Entrepreneurs To A “Financing Your Dream” Workshop
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano invites local inventors and entrepreneurs to a “Financing Your Dream” workshop to learn about small business loans, micro-loans, non-traditional financing and grant opportunities. This workshop builds on County Executive Mangano’s efforts to assist inventors and entrepreneurs – several of whom showcased their products and prototypes at a July 30th meeting of the Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club.
“I am proud to join Brian Fried in launching the successful Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club which provides a think-tank forum for up and coming entrepreneurs to launch their inventions which are the seeds to job creation and economic growth. I encourage investors and marketing professionals to attend our intellectual property showcase of unique gadgets, gizmos and innovative products,” said County Executive Mangano.
The “Financing Your Dream” workshop panel includes: Brian Fried, President of the Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club; Roslyn D. Goldmacher, President & Chief Executive Officer of the Long Island Development Corporation; and Elli Papadopoulos, Loan Officer at the Grow Nassau Fund. The evening’s moderator will be Nicholas Terzulli, Director of Business Development, Nassau County Industrial Development Agency.
The Nassau County Inventors and Entrepreneurs Club, formed earlier this year by County Executive Mangano, provides novice and seasoned entrepreneurs networking and brainstorming opportunities in a safe and secure environment. With its primary goal of helping to turn ideas into action, the club aims to assist inventors in navigating the process while enabling its members the ability to tap into critical resources.
