Mangano Announces Free Week Of Fitness Classes At The Nassau County Aquatic Center

Building upon his Fit Nassau initiative to help residents live a healthy lifestyle, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano today announce that the Nassau County Aquatic Center will be offering a free trial week for land and water fitness classes from Tuesday, September 4th through Sunday, September 9th.

Classes being offered during the free trail week include: Pilates, Spin-lates, Senior Wake up and Dance, Cardio Kickboxing, Healthy Back, Senior Power, Joint Efforts, Wheelchair Fitness, Spinning, Intense Body Transformation, Ultimate Core and Stretch, Aqua Cardio-Kick, Awesome Body Workout, Aqua Zumba, Killer Kettlebells, Zumba, Extreme Conditioning and Triathlon Training.

Centrally located in Eisenhower Park on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow, the Nassau County Aquatic Center is one of the premier swimming facilities in the country. Built in 1998 for the Goodwill Games, it serves the general public as well as competitive swimmers. The Aquatic Center regularly hosts college and local high school competitive swimming and diving meets and has hosted scores of Olympians, including Michael Phelps.
