Mangano To Host Field Of Honor At The Theodore Roosevelt Building

Honoring Veterans Who Have Served in the United States Armed Forces

Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano is hosting the Field of Honor to recognize veterans who have served in the United States of America Armed Forces. Community members can purchase flags to honor veterans with a flag that will be displayed at the Theodore Roosevelt Building.

“The Field of Honor gives members of the community the opportunity to pay tribute to loved ones who have given the ultimate sacrifice of protecting our freedom and our country by serving in the United States Armed Forces,” said County Executive Mangano.

Flags can be purchased for $35. Payments can be made by writing a check to “Friends of Nassau Recreation” and sent to: “Attn: Flags of Honor, Eisenhower Park Administration Building, 1899 Hempstead Tpke., East Meadow, NY 11554.”

Upon purchase the flags will be placed in the Field of Honor, alongside the Theodore Roosevelt Building, located at 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, NY 11501, beginning in October and ending in November. For more information please call: (631) 337-1603.
