Mangano To Welcome LISMA Award Winning Musicians

On August 24th, Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano will welcome the Long Island Conservatory LISMA Foundation’s competition award winners to the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Office Building. The afternoon includes the presentation of awards and a concert featuring the first place musicians of each category.

County Executive Mangano stated, “This year marks LISMA’s 10th Annual International Music Competition. Talented young musicians from around the world participate and compete in the areas of piano, violin/viola, cello and wind/brass. This event is open to the public and I invite everyone to attend.”

Competition winners will receive scholarships and cash prizes which are made possible through generous sponsors whoinclude Nassau County, SAMSUNG, Flushing Bank, Woori America Bank, Americana Manhasset, MassMutual, Korea Times and Gradoux-Matt Rare Violins.
